The Billionaire Census 2026: Five Findings That Should Inform Your Strategy

More billionaires hold more wealth than ever before, but who they are is changing fast. Join us September 30 to learn the five findings that should inform how you prospect and engage them.

There are more billionaires today, and they hold more wealth, than ever before. Altrata’s Billionaire Census 2026 finds that the global billionaire population reached an all-time high of 3,795 individuals in 2025, holding a record $15.1 trillion in combined wealth. Behind the numbers is a story about who is creating this wealth, how AI is reshaping it, and where it goes next.

In this exclusive briefing, Maya Imberg, Senior Director, Head of Thought Leadership and Analytics at Altrata, is joined by Paul Sutton, VP Sales at Altrata, and Scott Kerr, Luxury Strategist and Host of The Luxury Item Podcast, to unpack the findings that matter most for wealth managers, luxury brands, financial services firms, and nonprofit organizations engaging the world’s wealthiest people. From the AI investment boom driving new fortunes to the historic wealth transfer already underway, this session goes beyond the headline numbers to explore what this year’s data means for how you prospect, engage, and build relationships with billionaires and their heirs.

Join us to understand where billionaire wealth is headed, and how to position your organization to meet it.

Five Things You Need to Know About Today’s Billionaires:

  • AI investment reshaped the fortunes of the world’s tech-focused billionaires. Of the 150 listed companies globally that contribute the most to billionaire wealth, those that made meaningful AI investments saw their market valuations climb 23% faster compared with those that did not over the combined 2024-25 period, fueling a new wave of billionaire wealth growth.
  • Wealth is concentrating sharply at the very top of the billionaire class. The world’s 29 ‘superbillionaires’ (those with fortunes above $50 billion) now account for 27.2% of all billionaire wealth, nearly four times their 7.2% share in 2017.
  • A historic wealth transfer is underway. Over the next decade, $6.6 trillion in billionaire wealth will be passed on, with almost 5,000 direct heirs (spouses and adult children) expected to receive a sizable share. Women will account for a significant share of these beneficiaries, including 90% of spouses.
  • Sports team ownership is an increasingly popular billionaire portfolio asset. Sport remains the single most popular interest among the world’s billionaires, and more than 200 of them, just over 5%, now hold a direct stake in a sports team or franchise, reflecting a growing overlap between personal passion and strategic investment.
  • Billionaires are a globally mobile class. One in five billionaires was born outside the country where they now live, with foreign born shares reaching 60% in London compared with 19% in New York.

This webinar is essential for wealth managers, financial services professionals, luxury brands, and nonprofit and philanthropy leaders looking to understand and engage the world’s wealthiest individuals.

Bring your questions on what these findings mean for your organization’s strategy heading into 2026 and beyond.
