Strategic decisions start with data, not a “hunch”

Video transcript: We really focus on principal gift donors, those donors that can make a gift that’s more transformational in nature. Making sure that we find those individuals not by a hunch, but really being able to have the information so that we can target and tailor a proposal to someone that aligns with their wealth capacity as well as their interest level is really critical.
People are flattered by an ask that’s too big, but it doesn’t get you a “yes”. People aren’t frustrated by an ask too small, but the people’s whose lives could have been impacted had you asked for a gift that was right size, that becomes a lost opportunity. And so, we use Wealth-X to not only look at the wealth side, but to speed up the process of gathering the appropriate information so that the proposal feels tailor made to their background.
